Ruth Nanayakkara-Bruce Therapy
Working together
There are many reasons to embark on personal therapy, whether you’re experiencing anxiety, grief, depression or perhaps you’re feeling stuck or wanting to explore your life in a supportive and empathetic environment. Therapy can offer a transformative experience, which can be both challenging and rewarding. My philosophy is that therapy allows us to grow our capacity to be with ourselves more fully. I aim to provide a space for you to reflect on, question and listen to your own understanding of yourself and work together to make sense of and find a way through painful experiences. As part of my practice, I bring a commitment to looking at how oppression and socio-political factors influence and shape our lives and believe this is an important aspect of our work together.
Finding a therapist can feel like a daunting process, particularly when you’re having a hard time. If you are interested in working together, send me an email and I will arrange for an introductory session to see if we are a good fit and talk about how we might work together. I offer both short (around twelve to sixteen sessions) and long-term therapy.
I work both online and in person in Ramsgate. For in person sessions there is free parking for up to two hours in Waitrose, which is a two-minute walk from my office.
